The internet is dangerous?

We now live in a world where technology progresses everyday or at least every once in a while. It seems like the normal thing to be on a computer or so immersed in your smartphone but did your parent/guardian ever give you the safety guidelines of the internet? Sorry to break it to you, the internet is not always filled with rainbows and sunshines, there is spam on the internet, viruses, creeps and even more. Here are some tips to keep you, and your computer or device safe: buy a virus protector (ex: Macfee, Norton etc) they really do work to protector your computer, as for your smart device you can’t really install a cd virus disk on it, so just be cautious of what you go on. Another tip is to not believe the pop up ads claiming that you have won 1,000$ or hot singles are waiting to meet to you, chances are they’re trying to get your credit card information and hack into your device and sadly, hot singles are not waiting for you, the creators of the site are waiting on you to be a sucker and fall for their spam. Third beware of your location settings, it might be cool to update where you’re at every second of the day, just make sure you have friends that you have known and actually physically seen that you follow on social media sites. Fourth, don’t give out your personal information, people will promise you anything to get details of your life. I’m not saying be scared of every little thing that is on the internet, just be cautious and safe!

Going on a trip?

Well after packing your bags for your vacation or road trip, there are other subjects to consider while traveling. Think about the gas, how much time you think you’re gonna take to get there, and motion sickness. Save up for big trips so you can always have extra money for souvenirs, and bring games or think of some to create while being on the trip, can’t have people dying of boredom. If you can’t help but get some symptoms of motion sickness, whether you’re in a car, plane, train, boat etc. I can give you some tips to try to control them. First you can take some over the counter medicine, labeled to help with motion sickness. Second if you have motion sickness and are vomiting, grab a bag or stand close to a restroom and you need to keep your body hydrated so drinks lots of liquids and some liquids filled with electrolytes (ex: Gatorade, Powerade etc). Thirdly, distract yourself, the less your body can detect that your senses are not aligned or in sync at the moment, the better!

Movie reviews?

Thinking about going to see RoboCop? You might want to think again. Although I personally enjoyed the movie, it had lots of action, a stable plot and it kept me awake, which is definitely a plus 2 points because I fall asleep easily on boring movies. Job hunting?

Eventually everyone will reach a day when the responsibilities will be upon themselves, whether it’s realizing you need to buy your own clothes, buy your pet it’s necessities or anything else that requires buying. The first thing that you will need is a job. Once filling out an application and creating a resume, good luck on that interview. Here are some tips on how to get a good interview.

Olympics!

Throughout these past couple of days I’ve been hearing about contestants dropping from the Olympics that are held in Russia because of the weather, for example making it harder for snowboarders/skiers to ride without any snow (thats not much a problem now), there’s some possible terrorist scares and other reasons. As of right now, according the sports section on yahoo.com it seems like the USA has won two medals so far, placing in fourth, GO USA! Today a famous Tennis player, Billie Jean King commented on Russia’s anti gay equality, Shedding some light on the issue she hopes to have accomplished giving Russian LGBTQ people and all other LGBTQ people out there hope out there that there will be a moment in time when people will accept everyone. Imagine, you’re on a stroll through the neighbor or at the beach with your pet, taking in the heat or the rapid winds, Do you ever notice that he/she is eating grass, this behavior is more common in dogs/cats actually. Eating some grass is practically harmless to the dog, but eating grass very often & vomiting after is not normal. Usually dogs eat grass because they’re bored, they’re trying improve digestion, trying to fill some nutrition or they could possibly have the eating disorder Pica. Pica is defined as pets that eat things even though they’re not food.  Your dog may also move on to eating plants, those same reasons apply. When at restaurants do you ever research the foods you eat, or the food at home in the fridge? There are tons of information on nutrition and individual foods so you can be in control in what you’re consuming and what effect it can have on your body. Do you love diary products and other “American” Foods? Well most of these beloved foods contain a lot of acid which is not good for your liver, it can actually damage it or your kidney and other health issues can occur if one does consume too much acid. Some foods that contain the least acid are:

Are you mad or not?

When I ask that question I actually mean it. When people get angry they start to think irrationally sometimes, and start to keep their anger bundled up or release it in unhealthy ways such as, punching a wall, or objects, things like that. Everyone gets angry, it is normal to have that emotion, how you handle it is a different factor though. When getting angry you can calm down and try to take a 20 second breather,or scream into your pillow just to calm yourself down or you can walk away from the current situation to restrain yourself from lashing out at others. Other effect ways of releasing your anger it so channel it to something like sports, drawing, writing, you can probably make your anger useful.With people that have constant anger that burdens your life you need to try to understand where the root of this anger its coming from and try to fix it with either help of a trained psychologist or psychiatrist (if needed.)

STEP AWAY FROM YOUR ELECTRONIC DEVICE!!

Are you always catching yourself lounging around the house checking social media sites? Such as: Twitter, FaceBook, Tumblr, Blogger, Vine, and etc. Do you realize that you tweet too much? or reblog too many pictures on tumblr or are checking facebook for no absolute reason? Not only are you addicted, you are in denial! Just Kidding. There’s probably no real addiction to social media sites but we feel the need to depend on it often. Do you know that there are actually negative and positive effects on children who use social media?

It can cause anxiety, thinking about conversing in real life. Let’s think about it, if you’re consumed to your computer 24/7 and have great online conversations, what is the difference between that and conversing in real life. There’s a huge difference for one, you won’t be behind a computer screen so the person you’re talking to can see your facial expression, YIKES.

Social media adds onto the many ways people can procrastinate and effect the quality of your work. If you’re trying to write an essay while on Facebook, 9 times out of 10 people would keep scrolling down Facebook while the hours passed by.
